This decides what the wash stage may be called in the food safety plan.

State the target you must hit, not the peak you hope for.

2. Scope

What you are buying

Parts that must be washed off the line

These are clean-out-of-place and no skid will reach them.

Circuits, volumes and line sizes (if CIP is in scope)

Sanitation window available

A short window buys pumps and heating capacity, not a cheaper skid.

3. Water and effluent

Water quality and volume available

Recirculated process water must meet potable standard under Regulation (EC) No 852/2004, Annex II, Chapter VII.

Effluent limits at the site

Discharge limits can add equipment after the machine is chosen.

4. Line interfaces

Infeed and discharge heights

Floor area, headroom and access route

Utilities at the machine position

Control and data requirement

Name the standard if you have one: OPC UA, PackML, ISA-95.

5. Specification and acceptance

Material and finish specification

Leave it blank rather than guessing; a wrong grade is expensive to correct.
