SHENGTU / Buyer questions

Clear answers before you choose the equipment.

Start with the questions that affect your specification, quotation and handover. For a particular machine or project, bring the details to our team.

Procurement questions

Choosing your project scope

What should I send when asking about a food processing line?

Start with your raw material, finished product, packaging format and required throughput. Add the destination country, available floor plan, utility supply and any existing machines to retain. If the process is still being developed, explain the result you need rather than guessing a machine list.

How do I choose between a machine, a process section and a complete line?

Choose a standalone machine for a defined gap in an existing operation. A process section brings related stations together, while a complete line coordinates a product route. Whole-plant projects add broader planning and handovers. The boundary depends on engineering responsibilities, not a fixed machine count.

Can equipment be configured for my product and factory layout?

Configuration is reviewed against product characteristics, capacity, process requirements and site conditions. Send product samples or specifications where relevant, plus access dimensions and layout constraints. Feasibility needs to be established before dimensions, options and performance targets are finalized.

Which food sectors does SHENGTU work with?

Our published range includes pet food, fruit and vegetables, meat and prepared food, snacks, freeze-dried and frozen foods, dairy and sauces, and sterilization or filling processes. Tell us the exact product and process route so we can discuss the equipment relevant to it.

Procurement questions

Manufacturing & quality

Does SHENGTU manufacture every machine in-house?

SHENGTU has four owned and self-built manufacturing bases covering approximately 80% of its main equipment categories. Around 20% of specialized or supplementary equipment is supplied by selected long-term partners. The source of each machine should be confirmed against your project equipment list.

Can I visit or review the factory before ordering?

A live video discussion or an in-person visit can be arranged around the equipment you want to review. Share your product, capacity and machine interests first so the discussion can focus on relevant manufacturing and showroom facilities.

What checks take place before equipment is shipped?

The published workflow includes incoming-material checks, in-process inspection, assembly checks, factory testing and packing inspection. Agree the test conditions, acceptance criteria and records for your order early, including whether product trials or buyer inspection are required.

How should I assess cleanability?

Review the actual product-contact materials, access for cleaning, drainage, weld treatment and removable parts. Share your cleaning process and chemicals so compatibility can be discussed. The equipment specification should describe the relevant features for your application.

Which certificates and documents apply to my machine?

The applicable set depends on the model, configuration, source and destination. Request the actual documents and check their holder, scope and dates. A company management-system certificate does not by itself cover a particular machine. See our certificates and project documents page for the review checklist.

Procurement questions

Quotation & delivery

What affects the price of a production line?

Capacity, product formats, process route, automation and supply scope all affect the quotation. Installation support, spare parts and document requirements can also change the package. Compare itemized scopes and interfaces alongside the total price.

How is the project schedule agreed?

The schedule depends on equipment configuration, design confirmation, manufacturing, testing and delivery arrangements. Discuss the dates you need and any site constraints during quotation. Order-specific milestones should identify the inputs and approvals needed from both teams.

What should I check in the quotation?

Look for the machine list and configuration, control scope, spare parts, documents, packing and included services. Check the exclusions and the connection points to buyer-supplied equipment. For a full project, ask for a clear split of engineering and site responsibilities.

Who prepares the site and handles import arrangements?

Define these responsibilities in the order scope. Site preparation normally requires buyer input on the building, utilities, permits and operators. Shipment, customs responsibilities and the required documents must be agreed for the destination and delivery terms with the relevant logistics parties.

Procurement questions

Installation & after-sales

Is installation included?

Installation guidance, remote support or an on-site service can be scoped to the project. Confirm which option is included, along with site readiness, lifting arrangements, utility connections and operator availability. A turnkey label alone should not replace a written installation scope.

How are warranty and service terms confirmed?

Ask for the terms applicable to the equipment in your quotation and order. Review coverage, exclusions, service arrangements and how a support request is handled. The written terms should also identify any buyer responsibilities needed to diagnose and resolve a fault.

How do I request spare parts or technical support?

Provide the equipment model and identification, a description of the issue and relevant photographs or alarm information. This helps the technical team identify the component or operating condition. Discuss recommended spare parts before shipment, especially for equipment critical to your process.

Procurement questions

Automation & data

Can automation be added to equipment already installed?

Retrofit suitability depends on the existing controls, machine interfaces and required functions. Share the equipment list, controller information and available drawings. The review should establish which functions can be added and which mechanical or electrical changes may be needed.

Which automation functions can be discussed for a new line?

Depending on the configuration, the scope can include PLC control, HMI operation, equipment linkage, data records, alarms, recipe management and remote-monitoring evaluation. Specify the functions you need so they can be distinguished from optional additions.

What information is needed for a system integration review?

Describe the data you want to exchange, the machines involved, existing software and site-network requirements. Confirm access permissions, interface availability and who manages each system. Integration scope and compatibility need to be reviewed before promising a connection.
