UHT, Extended Shelf Life and Hot Filling Route Check

Aseptic capability buys ambient distribution, and it only pays when the product truly travels without refrigeration. Enter the shelf life you have to reach and the cold chain you can actually rely on, and this check returns which of the three routes fits, and where it would cost you money to over-specify.

Model assumptions this tool declares: a high-acid product below pH 4.2 in a rigid pack is treated as hot fillable; a shelf life inside 21 days with a working cold chain is treated as a chilled pasteurized job; a shelf life inside 45 days with a working cold chain is treated as extended shelf life; everything else is treated as aseptic. Ambient distribution is treated as required once the cold chain is absent or the shelf life passes 45 days. A route check sizes a decision, not a process.
