Capacity and Power Estimator

Put in the raw charge you want to run per batch and the estimator returns the smallest published freeze dryer that takes it, the dried output that batch yields, and the installed power the model draws.

Wet weight loaded onto the trays.

Typical for raw meat and most seafood.

Leave at 0 if you only want the model and power figures.

What this estimator assumes

  • Model selection takes the smallest published charge that is greater than or equal to your entry. Above 300 kg the estimator returns nothing rather than extrapolating past the published range.
  • Dried output is a first-pass mass balance: the charge multiplied by its solids fraction. Residual moisture left in the finished product is not subtracted at this stage.
  • Total installed power is the figure published for that model. FDG-30 is quoted on request, so the estimator returns nothing there instead of guessing.
  • Batch counts round up, because a part batch still occupies a full cycle.

These are planning figures for a first conversation, not a commissioning calculation. Cycle time, tray loading depth and product geometry all move the real numbers, and we work those out against your product.
