Reported band at equal lethality

The 10% to 27% band comes from reported work on agitating and rotary retorts at equal lethality, measured on a twin-basket water spray retort using the Ball formula method. It is a published range, not a guarantee for your product: viscosity, particulate size, headspace and fill weight decide where a real product lands, and only a heat penetration study on your pack can settle it. The estimator applies the band to the process time you enter and leaves handling and cooling untouched, because agitation does not shorten them.
