Line Cost Driver Worksheet

Work through the drivers that decide whether a line pays for itself, using your own operating numbers. The worksheet totals them; it does not supply them.

Every figure below is yours. We publish no benchmark saving, no yield coefficient and no payback period, because those depend on your raw material, your peel depth tolerance, your grading standard and your local utility prices. A borrowed number here would be the fastest way to build a business case that falls apart at the first audit.
1. Manual handling replaced
2. Peel loss
3. Downtime avoided
4. Water and effluent
5. Maintenance and spares

Before you take this to a board

  • Peel loss and downtime lines are only as good as the trial behind them. Measure both on your own crop, across a full shift, before either number leaves this page.
  • Carry maintenance and spares as an annual percentage of equipment value rather than a one-off, and ask for the spare-parts list before you sign, not after.
  • This worksheet reports an annual position. It does not compute a payback period, because that needs an installed cost — quotation, freight, duty, installation and commissioning — that only a real proposal can give you.
  • Add passivation of food-contact surfaces after warranty repairs to the same sheet. Buyers almost never price it in, and it is a corrosion risk in the exact zone your inspector will swab first.

Bring these numbers to a proposal and we will price the scope of supply against them, line by line.

Nothing in this worksheet is a Shengtu performance claim. Every value shown is arithmetic on the figures you entered, in the currency you selected, with no conversion and no benchmark applied.
