Step count is decided by the soil, not by the size of the plant. Tell the selector what is on the wall and how often the line changes over, and it returns the sequence, the medium for each step and the temperature band we build to. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere.

What the Selector Assumes
One step is a hot water rinse and nothing more, which only works where the residue dissolves and the same product runs before and after. Three steps add a caustic wash and a final rinse. Five steps put an intermediate rinse and an acid step in between, because caustic and acid neutralise each other if they meet. Seven steps add a sanitising step and a verified final rinse, which is what a plant needs when the cleaning record is part of the product.
Changeover frequency is asked for because it decides tanks rather than steps. Cleaning once a day makes single-use chemistry defensible; cleaning several times a day is what makes a recovery tank pay for itself.
Contact time is split evenly across the wash steps here for planning only. The real split comes out of the circuit survey.
