Retrofit readiness check

Nine questions, scored out of nine. Three of them are gating: without those three the interface survey has to establish the answer on site before anything can be committed.

The nine questions

Controllers and interfaces

Gating questions are marked

Network and access

Process and change control

Tick what is true today, then press the button. Unticked is not a failure — it is a survey item.

How the bands are set

Seven or more, with all three gating questions ticked, means the survey prices what it finds rather than discovers what exists. Four to six means a staged survey. Three or fewer means the survey comes first and the function list is fixed afterwards.

Score first, then this lists the questions you left unticked.

What this check does not do

A high score does not commit a retrofit and a low score does not rule one out. Where a controller is closed, the survey prices a controller change or added instrumentation instead of assuming the problem away.

Send your equipment list with controller makes and models and the readiness answers, and the proposal comes back split between committed and assessed items.
